i’m always sad for summer to end, but especially this- it was a big one- my dudes turning 16 + 13. they played on numerous basketball teams all summer, so there was a LOT of basketball. 🏀 we also spent a big part of the summer in new york. i was house-sitting in brooklyn + working in both brooklyn + manhattan. almost my whole family got to come visit. my boys even flew by themselves for the first time to meet me there. we spent our days walking 20,000 steps + raging the subways between manhattan + brooklyn, working + exploring + spending time with our new york crew. it was full + busy + so much fun.
i love the way things thrive in the rhythm + routine of the school year, though. the more i know about astrology, the more i think having three planets in virgo is a recipe for loving everything about the start of a school year: getting organized + getting back into the structure that makes everything thrive. + the more i understand my adhd, the more i understand how much i need systems + structure + deadlines to reach my potential. there’s something about everyone getting back on a schedule that makes me excited!

8. pitch one collaboration. choose someone whose work + clientele complement yours + send them one specific idea that benefits both of you.
9. register for one event this fall. choose wisely: you want to learn something + meet people + create visual assets you can share afterward that connect you with everyone else in the room.
10. go to a workout class. you already know moving your body is good for your energy + health, + it’s also one of the easiest ways to regularly meet new people. go wherever you feel comfortable + choose something you’ll actually enjoy.
